An IAA Regional Meeting was held on December 5, 2017 in Roma, Italy. Secretary General Dr. Jean-Michel Contant gave the opening speech followed by an introduction by Regional Secretary Prof. Antonio Viviani and a lecture “This star as a tail, which makes it very beautiful… The Rosetta mission” by Academician Prof. Amalia Ercoli Finzi. Meeting participants gathered in a gala dinner with an induction of newly elected members: Prof. Mohamed Argoun, full Member for Section 1 on Basic Sciences, Prof. Paolo Gaudenzi, corresponding member for Section 2 on Engineering Sciences, Prof. Giampiero Naletto, corresponding member for Section 1 on Basic Sciences, and Dr. Chantal Cappelletti, full Member for Section 2 on Engineering Sciences.
