Visiting the United Nations in Vienna
The impressive modern setting of the Vienna International Centre (VIC) has been home to numerous international organizations since 23 August 1979. On daily guided tours, visitors can learn about the work of the United Nations and experience the Vienna International Centre’s striking architecture and vibrant, cosmopolitan atmosphere of the VIC.
By signing up for a tour, you’ll have the chance to count the flags of the more than 190 Member States on the Memorial Plaza, see a variety of temporary exhibitions on the work of the United Nations and perhaps even see one of the impressive conference rooms.
After the tour, you can find further information on UN activities and acquire a variety of United Nations souvenirs in the Visitors’ Centre at Gate 1.
Come and visit us – the United Nations is easy to reach from the centre of Vienna.
Please remember to bring a valid identification document with your photograph on it.
How to reach us:
Take the underground line U1 in the direction of Leopoldau until you reach Kaisermühlen/Vienna International Centre and then follow the signs to Gate 1 of the VIC, the main entrance.
